Raz Does Newsletter - Instant Messages from the Universe
In a world of instant messaging, how can the universe dm you?
People have always extracted messages from their environment. Be it a cloud shaped like a cross, to a leaf falling on your doorstep. But now our environments have changed so much-from living within nature we’re all homebound or stuck driving to/from work (or j at work lmao). Throughout time we’ve also had little philosophic questions in our mind; whats my purpose? What is the meaning of life? What role does control play in my existence? What are capital gains taxes? Nature is not available to tell us the answer because it’s not always there anymore.
So if you are ever looking for a sign, either to do something, or an answer to something weighing on ur mind, heres one place the universe can always reach you:
The Library!
While you may be cussing me out right now and calling me a nerdy queef, I have reasons (besides that this whole email is to flex that I got a library card/libby account).
Sometimes we just need things spelled out in front of us. Our thoughts can get so cluttered with life, and the stress of having work attached to us 24/7 through our phones can be devastating. Mental health issues are also terrible for fogging up our thoughts with ideas that aren’t even our own. But all it takes to find an answer to a question we have is barely a sentence. The universe learned written language, and can now use that to communicate to us. Walk through an aisle, pick up a book, and the next stage of your life is most likely on the page you opened up to. As long as you are open to change, the universe will prompt you in the right direction.
I think I wrote this email bc I love libraries lmao. Its the only place with real people, who aren’t rly worried abt societal structures, and come from all types of lifestyles, can easily gather. Even on my darker days, I try to go there, and usually an interesting book’s first sentence can provide the guidance I need.

*additional note: theres very few places you can go to nowadays that are free. The library, currently, is still safe from government profit margins. To support them, simply set up a library card while you're there-took me 3 minutes. And ask for help to set up Libby, which is a digital library with books from the library you set up your card with! I've just been using it for audiobooks but its been amazing so far~
